Mojo places a strong emphasis on making sure our staff members are well trained. We provide full barista training to all cafes supplied with Mojo coffee, to ensure customers enjoy the great Mojo experience every time a coffee is served. We also have a wide variety of training available to the public.

Introduction to Coffee

Join us on a tour of historic Shed 13 at Kumutoto Plaza –
where the Mojo magic happens.

Explore the history of coffee and how it is grown,
harvested and processed.

Find out what happens to beans during the Roasting process. Participants will also get to see
our Master Roaster work his magic
first-hand on the factory floor.

Get hands-on with our espresso equipment and learn all of the ins and outs of espresso and milk production.

Then compete with your classmates to see who can prepare the ultimate cup of coffee.

This is a full day programme that aims to introduce participants to the background of espresso production as well as give them first hand exposure to the practical elements behind a cup of coffee. It is also a fantastic opportunity to get behind the scenes of the industry and see what’s really involved in a cup of coffee.

One on One

This can be taken as a One on One session, with loads of hands on practice. Content of a One on One session is very flexible and can be tailored to the participant’s desires. For half a day of training (4 hours) we charge $200, or for a full day (8 hours) we charge $300.This guarantees plenty of hands-on time behind the machine and a good opportunity to perfect each area of espresso production. Dates for this training are very flexible and we can provide discounted prices for different group sizes.

For Groups:

To ensure that everyone gets ample time behind the machine we like to cap each class at 15.

Course fee:

$60 per person for groups between 12 and 15

$70 per person for groups between 8 and 11

All prices include GST

We provide training for Schools also and have a Service IQ Registered Assessor who can deliver and assess a range of coffee based Unit Standards either at Mojo HQ or on site at your school.
